Lancashire teacher falls to her death

A teacher from Lancashire's died after falling 100 feet off a cliff in Austria.
Alison Knott -who was 42 and from Thornton - was on a hiking holiday with her husband.
She lost her balance - and frantically called out to her husband - but all he could do was watch on - as she plummeted to the rocks below - she died instantly of massive head injuries
Alison's body's expected to be flown home later this week - her husband is still in Austria being treated for shock.

| i knew alison knott when i was 14 years old i was a pupil at park school i was in year 9 and 10 left school in 1995 she use to help me and the pupils in my class i also knew my knott he was my p.e teacher she was a nice teacher and my thoughts are with all the teacthers of park school i remember back in the 90s when i was at that school we did a bric-a-brac sale and alison donated a picture of a dog in a glass frame which i still have on my wall at home she was a friendly person and very bubbly may you rest in pece |
