BRITs and ITV Apologise To Adele

After they cut her acceptance speech short
The BRIT Awards and ITV have both apologised to Adele for cutting short her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.
The 23-year-old was left flabbergasted when mid-way through her speech for the biggest honour of the night organisers pulled the plug to make way for Blur’s greatest hits medley.
She quickly stuck her middle finger up at the “suits” on her right hand side – all of which was filmed live on television.
An ITV spokesman said: "The BRITs is a live event. Unfortunately the programme was over running and we had to move on. We would like to apologise to Adele for the interruption."
A BRITs representative then added: "We regret this happened and we send our deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short this evening due to the live show over-running.
“We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night's biggest award. It tops off what's been an incredible year for her."
Adele herself has also apologised but couldn’t hide her anger towards organisers.
She said: “I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”
Despite the aborted speech, it was another triumphant night for Adele with the songstress taking home the Best British Female honour alongside the Album of the Year gong.
